California´s governor Brown once again continued his disregard towards the state´s university systems. Vetoing the 100 million which would have been used to supplement salaries that had been slashed.
Brown you may know has had a troubled relationship with public education in general, but with the state universities in particular since the seventies. The link:

Updated to clarify that Brown states his previous agreement was dependent upon revenues that did not materialize. IMHO there will be debate about this particularly since this money was to make up for the deep shortfalls that the university staff faced over the past few years.
